For my service learning i went to California it was a great time everywhere but i got the most joy helping out the community. We first went to the bunny rescue and we help clean the bunnies cages it made us all feel so good about ourselves. the next day we went and helped out with the rescue mission we prepared food so our group cut up peppers to be put in the salad.and the last service after school program this is where we helped out in the classrooms. I had helped out in the art class just because i wanted to see how they did things around there and how the got taught. For my other part of service learning i helped out with my teacher Kethers theater programs it was very fun. The first one that I helped out with was call super hero comics and the other one was called Peter and the star catcher. My duties for this was to sit in the and make sure that they were quite and they had the right costume on and that they were prepared for the scenes.

Divergent:final questions
Bailey Anderson
1.the faction i would have been born into is abnegation my father and mother are both selfless people they both choose other people than themselves.i know i don’t know my mother but she does seem like that type of person.my father on the other hand always thinks about others. I would choose dauntless because on my sweet appearance on the inside i’m a rebel you might not know it but i am thats the best part of being me.
3.the difference of being fearless and facing your fears is that if you're fearless you know you have no fears whatsoever and if you face your fears then you know how to control your fears. I personable don't think any body is fearless we all have small fears which means everybody has a fear they might not know it though.
4.”human beings as a whole cannot be good for long before the bad creeps in and poisons again.” i agree with the quote to me the quote means that everybody has their problems and the try to act like it doesn't bother them but soon they have to react to it before it becomes too big of a problem.

The Greek Gods
Many people would blatantly state that the importance of the gods in Greek society derives from the fact that Gods in any society are usually used to explain phenomenon that people cannot logically comprehend, but in ancient Greece gods were actually entities that took part in the workings of society itself. Even simple aspects of day-to-day life such as sex and disputes between mortals were supposedly influenced by godly workings. Unlike modern religions such as Catholicism, Buddhism, and Hinduism, where an omnipotent force supposedly controls the workings of the world, a hierarchy of Gods characterized religion in ancient Greece. Working as one big family, which they actually were, each one of the Greek Gods governed a certain aspect of the world in a way that usually reflected their own human like personalities. These unique personalities also contained many human flaws such as envy and greed, and were where the Greek Gods importance lay. Greek religion was more concentrated on the way an individual dealt with situations that popped up in the world around him than on understanding the world itself. In other words the Greeks were more interested in the workings of the mind than in the workings of the environment around them.
This was so because unlike us, the Greeks believed that they already had explanations for trivial questions such as,;Where the world came from?';Who are we? and;Who controls the world around us?'; To them all these questions could simply be explained by looking at their own mythology. It is hard for us to really understand how deeply these beliefs were rooted into their personalities, to the Greeks if some natural phenomenon occurred it occurred because one of their gods had decided to make it occur, it was just as simple as that. The existence of the God to the Greeks was something just as simple as that the fact that the sky is blue is simple to us.
In General the Greeks respected and feared their gods because they understood that they were superior creatures, but they usually felt differently about different gods depending on that Gods personality and the myths that surrounded his existence. There were the beautiful gods, fair gods, angry gods, demigods etc. No one god was all evil or all nice, the same way that no one human is all evil or all nice. The Greeks took their God;s actions towards the way a human acted in one of their Myths as examples on how to act when faced with certain situations. Their Myths were used as guidelines so that the Greeks themselves could lead their lives by dealing with certain situations in a way which was considered to be satisfactory in the eyes of the Gods that they believed in so dearly.
The Mycenaeans of the ancient Greeks explained the origin of the universe using Greek gods. The gods were the makers of the universe and watched over mortals.
The Greeks explained that in the beginning there was emptiness, and the emptiness was called Chaos. From Chaos came the first three immortals: Gaea, who was the earth mother; Tartarus, who ruled the Underworld; and Eros who was the god of love.
Gaea gave birth to Uranus without a partner. Gaea then married her son and she bore him three children called the Hundred-handed Giants. The Hundred-handed giants each had fifty heads and one hundred incredibly strong arms. These would be the most frightening creatures that Gaea had. Uranus was afraid of their potential power so he confined them to the Underworld. The Hundred-handed giants became mad with their father and hated them with all their might.
Next Gaea had three Cyclopes. Each Cyclopes had one wheel shaped eye in the middle of their forehead. The Cyclopes were very strong and very skillful. Therefore they became the first immortal craftsmen. Again, Uranus became jealous of their skill and potential power, so he bound them with the strongest chains and threw them into their mother. After nine days and nights, they reached the Underworld. They were condemned there along with their brothers, the Hundred-handed giants. They, in turn, also grew to hate their father.
Gaea then bore the first generation of immortal gods. Later, Uranus named them Titans (“Stretchers”). He named them stretchers because they had stretched their power and had overthrown his rule. Twelve of the thirteen Titans either controlled the major functions of the universe or had children that did.
Cronus was one of Gaea’s children, a Titan. He killed his father for condemning his children. Before Uranus died he prophesied that “ You murder me know, and steal my throne-but one of your own sons will dethrone you, for crime begets crime.” Cronus was very careful from then on.
Cronus’s wife, Rhea, goddess of earth, bore cronus children and one by one he swallowed each and every one of them. First, three daughters-Hestia, Demeter, and Hera; then two sons-Hades and Poseidon. Rhea was very furious with Cronus. She was determined to make sure that Cronus didn’t eat their next child which she was sure was going to be a son. When the time came, she snuck off down the slope of Olympus to a dark place to have her baby. It was in fact a son, and she named him Zeus. She left Zeus there and went back with a rock in a blanket. Cronus saw her coming and took the blanket without looking and swallowed everything.

MYTHOLOGY
BY BAILEY ANDERSON
Nyx the goddess of night I feel like I’m mostly like her because I’m a night person. I think I’m a night person because I was born in the night.
This is a story that I keep to myself. One time me and four other friends were staying at my house and I live by city Market. We were all hungry and my friends had a climbing rope and it was ten at night and so we tied one end to the bed and the other we made three knots and then we climbed out. While we were at city market we got so much food. Then we went to the park at ate all the food. By now it was eleven. We were at the park until three in the morning I think that we did that because we all felt right in a way that I cant explain. The next day we did it again jumped out my window and went to the park but this time we slept at the park. During that night we talked about how we all loved night. Then we swung on the swings. Then we went back at my house before my dad could see that we were gone.
HISTORY
Nyx is the ancient goddess of Night in Greek mythology, daughter of Chaos. She is a primal ancestress, and mother of many deities by Her brother Erebus (Darkness). Her children are for the most part dark sorts and include the Moerae (the three Fates), Nemesis (justice and divine retribution), winged Hypnos (Sleep) and His brother Thanatos (Death), Moros (Doom), the Keres, goddesses of violent death, Oizys (Misery), the Hesperides who guarded the golden apples, Deceit, Friendship, Old Age and Eris (Strife, sometimes said to be a daughter of Hera).
She was depicted as riding in a chariot, trailing stars and bringing the night, and accompanied by Her sons Hypnos and Thanatos. She could be helpful or harmful to mankind, bringing either sleep or death.
Nyx had prophetic powers, and gave oracles from a cave. She was older and more powerful than Zeus, who deferred to Her wishes.
